What's this role all about?

As a Software Development Engineer in Test at Auvik, you'll research, architect, implement and maintain a variety of automation frameworks as part of our software development team.

What will I be doing?

As a quality and testing focused Software Developer you'll spearhead the research, design and implementation of our automation frameworks within the development organization. You'll work with a variety of agile teams, supporting the development of a network management service that handles millions of transactions per second, while solving big challenges for our customers. Drawing on your love of high quality products and developing creative solutions, your can-do attitude, and your drive to do great work, you'll help Auvik continue to build high quality software our customers can rely on. In this role, you will:

• Focus on researching, designing and architecting or implementing test automation frameworks for microservices that are consistent, scalable, high quality and tolerant to faults and failures
• Integrate our automation frameworks into our CI/CD pipelines for efficient feedback to our teams
• Work with teams to identify and address gaps in our existing automated testing approaches
• Identify areas for improvement of automated performance, load and scalability test coverage
• Educate teams on new automation frameworks and support their implementation across a variety of teams
• Help expand the depth and breadth of our existing automated testing solution based on your deep knowledge of quality and testing
• Collaborate with engineering and product management to improve our delivery of software components that meet the needs of our customers

What are we looking for?

• Experience developing quality code and automation for products preferably using Golang, Flink or React
• Background in designing or implementing automated testing for microservices
• Proven record of building reliable and consistent automates frameworks
• Proficiency in agile methodologies such as scrum
• Deep understanding of CI/CD pipeline to test and deploy

• Interest in opportunities in mentoring and guiding junior team members

• Monitor and report on the efficacy of implemented approaches
• Enthusiasm towards researching and experimenting with new frameworks and technologies and making recommendations based on experiences and findings
• Accountability towards following processes and making suggestions for improvements
• Desire to collaboratively create elegant, scalable, modern, automated testing solutions that evolve with our products
• Strong communication skills (written and verbal) to work collaboratively with the immediate team and the larger organization
